This grade has been developed by reducing the size of WC hard grains, which are the main component of cemented carbide, to about 1µm. Therefore, it has more toughness and hardness than the conventional cemented carbides, and also attains sharp cutting edges.
In comparison with the conventional type micro grain carbide, it shows excellent wear resistance and anti-cracking property at high temperature, as well as higher toughness and sharp cutting edges. Provision of PVD coating on this micro grain carbide offers much improved wear resistance and deposition resistance without losing these merits.
